We produce both hardcover bindings and paperback bindings, either Smyth-sewn or perfect bound, in our 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
In addition to standard-sized case bound books produced on Stahl/VBF in-line equipment, we use a wide range of automated equipment to produce oblong and oversized books up to 15″ wide and 15″ tall. Our paperback bindings can be perfect bound, Smyth-sewn or Smyth-sewn with the paper cover glued-solid to the end paper, which is the highest quality paper cover binding method.
Binding options include single or 3-piece covers, printed dust jackets and decorative headbands. As part of our trade binding service, we offer advice on printing layout, signature imposition, material selection, cover design, and other aspects of the book manufacturing process.
